Back at home

We were released from the hospital last night about 5 pm. The neurosurgeons had been trying to take advantage of the system to get Aimee into surgery today (Thurs 13th) but another emergency case came in that could not wait for the operating room. The surgery is officially Tuesday 18th. I pray that is the last change to the schedule. We just got a call from Childrens and they want us back tomorrow (Fri) for another lab - I really hope we are not there overnight. The baby did very well in the hospital got more sleep and food, although mom didn't like that vinyl couch so much. We need specific prayer for the baby for a couple things. 1) That she will not need a shunt after the surgery but her brain will start draining CSF (cerebro-spinal fluid) on it's own 2) she will not get infection after the surgery 3) her brain will pick up and start developing again after the removal of the encephelocele. Beth and I are ok and do not need anything at the moment we can think of but we definitely want you prayers. Thanks and hope Christmas plans are going great for you.

Hey Aimee,
This is your Great Auntie Peggi - Just want to reach through my computer screen and kiss kiss kiss those chubby cheeks! Speaking of chubby cheeks, we spent the weekend babysitting your cousin Asher. Now that boy has some cheeks - plenty to smooooch on there! Just want to let you know that your Uncle Squat, cousins Adam, Zach and I love you very very much! And a big "thank you" to your Mommy and Daddy for keeping us all in the loop. It's hard being so far away. But we know that we can rest in the knowledge that our sweet Savior has His loving arms around you and your Mommy and Daddy. Love - Hugs - Kisses to you little honey! :0) Auntie Peggi
